Summary of Features : Various shades of gray fur across his body, with a white star-shaped mark on his chest. His ears and back are dark, and the fur on his cheeks is long and shaggy, though not unclean. He has a moderately-built body, without overbearing musculature.

Build : Average body type, neither too muscular nor too thin; though he's more slender than bulky, he is a very sturdy wolf
Movement : Confident, but not demanding of any attention. He is where he is, doing what he is doing, and that is that. Very sturdy presence.

Scent : A very earthy scent, overlapped with that of stone
Voice : Middle-tone, a little dry to match his sense of humor

Howl : Somewhat raspy when it begins, but once he reaches a tone to hold, it sounds rather smooth. As a younger wolf, he rarely participated in pack howls, so he's always a little uncertain when he first tips his head back.

Health Concerns:
    o Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder | After dealing with the Curse of Pajackok, and then the serious avalanche which nearly cost him his life - and Samhradh hers - Asterion suffers from PTSD. Though his symptoms have grown milder with counseling, comfort, and time, he still has difficulty discussing or thinking about the event. In addition to the difficulty thinking about the event, it will sometimes reappear involuntarily in his mind's eye - when going about his business, something minute may trigger a memory of the crushing weight of the snow, the difficulty breathing, the inability to move - and the fear normally sets in within seconds. He's often paralyzed when accosted by memories of the event, but it lasts only a short while. Symptoms he had closer to the event included difficulty sleeping, irritation, an exaggerated startle response, feelings of worthlessness and self-loathing, disinterest in activities, isolation, and persistent anger and fear. Fortunately, these symptoms have been worked through, though 'episodes' will cause them to recur for a while, typically the rest of the day.

Asterion is often viewed as a noble wolf, who has worked hard to earn a place as a Beta of Heyl. The sarcastic, irritable and angsty Asterion of youth was tempered into a weary soldier. Asterion has worked hard to preserve his pack and his family, diligently serving as a Sage and trying to be a diplomatic representative when moving throughout the Domain on Sagely tasks. 

Though wary of the great task of fatherhood, Asterion proved himself to be a loving father and mate. Though he can be defensive of his family - sometimes too much, particularly with his daughter and his son, Orion - that's because he cares so much. 

In his youth, Asterion was bitter, sarcastic, angsty, cruel, and introverted - a wolf few truly knew and fewer wanted to know. After his introduction to the bubbly, optimistic and undeterred Samhradh, he found himself wanting to be better, for her. His determination to become better peaked after an avalanche nearly cost him his life, and he was finally able to expose his innermost core to Samhradh, and find that she reflected back to him nothing but love. He is prone to make harsh judgments but has worked through the years to pause and consider before making these judgments known.

{Quick Overview}

    - Asterion and Denali are born into Dawnguard to the proud parents, Elihu and Kendra!
         - Kendra and Elihu make sure religion is a very important part of their life.
    - Elihu and Kendra go on a hunt, and Kendra is killed. Elihu falls into a deep depression and ignores his pups.
    - Asterion vows to protect his little brother no matter what. Elihu comes back to his children eventually.
    - Asterion is now an adult and begins to explore the world of being a makoce.
    - He also begins to make friends in his pack, including his dearest friend, Samhradh, and some allies, Shiver and Shoshana.
    - Heyl and Dawnguard unite from the alphas taking one another as mates, and the pack becomes Heylguard!
        - Asterion is positively disgusted by this union, and feels that the culture, values, and religion of Dawnguard will dilute and vanish.
    - Elk are found dead in the territory. Nahimana says there is nothing to worry about, but Felgar warns that trouble is looming. Asterion aligns himself with Felgar, and is bracing himself for trouble.

OTHER INFORMATION

Likes :
    o Hunting. Asterion originally wanted to become a master of the hunt, and though his life has taken him down a different path, he still enjoys hunting and fishing and feeding his pack.
    o Swimming. Swimming brings back fond memories with his mate and pups, and he enjoys the feeling of cool water, as he has such thick fur and gets hot during the summer.
    o Samhradh. He likes and loves Sam. She's the most incredible wolf the world, and he feels like the luckiest wolf to have won her affections, miraculously.
    o Nighttime. The quiet night and the stars remind him of Icadorityl's presence, which has grown to be fairly reassuring. 

Dislikes :
    o Springtime. Not a fan of pollen, bees, singing birds, or frisky young wolves, Asterion could certainly do without the season of spring.
    o Heavy snow in the mountains. After almost dying in an avalanche, Asterion doesn't like when the mountains are weighted down with a lot of snow.
    o Arrogance. Aster knows all about arrogance, considering he was one of the most arrogant wolves in the Domain when he young. However, he's learned his lesson, and doesn't stand for other wolves' arrogance very easily. 

Fears :
    o Ghosts. Asterion doesn't fear the ghosts of deceased wolves, but fears the shadows of vanquished spirits, like Pajackok.
    o Icadorityl. It's entirely possible to revere and fear the goddess of Heyl, and that's precisely how Aster feels. After all, she did threaten to kill him.

Extra Information :
    - Asterion has a strong faith in the goddess Icadorityl, but firmly believes that there are other gods as well. 
    - Asterion doesn't know what has become of his brother Denali, but even though he sees so much of his brother in Orion, he doesn't often think of Denali with sorrow, only a sense of wondering what has happened to him.
    - Asterion fears the gods and understands that they have great power. He tries to follow the codes of the gods to a T, which isn't always easy.
    - Aster secretly wants to have another litter of pups, but fears them leaving like the rest of his children. 
    - He doesn't think he's good enough for Sam, and pushes himself everyday to be worthy of her.
