Detailed Description : Hawkstripe is a warm-brown tom with gold and dark brown stripes on his legs and tail. He has markings streaking from his eyes and golden eyebrow-marks, along with dark-colored ears with white marks on the back. His belly, chest, and muzzle are white, along with each of his paws.

Pelt : Warm brown with golden and dark brown tabby stripes; densely-furred, medium-long in length.
Eyes : Rich forest green, from Eaglemask.
Tail : Long, thick-furred, with stripes along it and a white tip.
Build : Long-legged with powerful shoulders and lean muscles.
Movement : As he ages, he will become confident with a relaxed but powerful stride.

Scent : Dried leaves and crisp, autumn-like air.

 {Motivated}  

Hawkstripe has the motivation to be an excellent warrior. He rises early, and believes wholly in the mantra 'Early to bed and early to rise makes a cat healthy, wealthy, and wise.' He gets his duties done early and often throws in a little extra work when he can. He is completely DEDICATED to his Clan and wants to make sure it is running in the best possible way as often as possible.

 {Outgoing}  

Hawkstripe is a friendly fellow. He loves to shoot the breeze with his Clanmates, and he listens about as well as he initiates conversations. And with his warm southern drawl, he's a nice fella to listen to as well. He believes wholly in treating others with kindness and respect, and there are few, if any, cats he has ever been rude to.

 {Affectionate}  

Secretly, Hawkstripe is a cuddler. He thrives on physical touch and feels the most rewarded when cats give him a firm pat on the back with their tails or a nudge with the shoulder or a touch to the nose. But even if he isn't touching a cat, he is still very affectionate, reaffirming how much the cats around him mean to him and setting time aside to spend with them. He loves his sister and brothers and tries setting aside time for them, especially, but has had trouble doing it since he was made into a warrior with them still being apprentices.

 {Jingoistic}

| "I will lay down my life to defend the honor of my Clan, no matter what - or who - stands in my way. | Hawkstripe is wholly devoted to his Clan. While this makes him a little INTOLERABLE of the other Clans, he's very polite towards other Clan cats and maintains a kindness towards them. His patriotism is also really strong, especially in his belief of TRADITIONAL values.

 {Flirtatious}

| "We could take this party out of camp, go for a stroll, see the sights - not that there's much of any sight I want to see except for you, my dear." | A trait he inherited from his father, Hawkstripe is incredibly flirtatious. He is very SELF-ASSURED and relaxed about making connections. He's a fairly social cat, and loves to spend time with his Clanmates, but he has a special place for the she-cats and doesn't hesitate to remind them that, hey, they're beautiful and excellent hunters, and, by the way, your eyes are gorgeous. But these advances are not always welcomed by the she-cats, especially if they have other interests.

 {Reckless}

Hawkstripe, like his father, is a DAREDEVIL. He often engages in reckless behaviors where one wrong move could cost him a limb, or even his life. But he does it to show off, and to feel invincible. One day, this could be his downfall, but fortunately, for now, nothing bad has happened yet.

Hawkstripe will never stand down for what he believes in. He will not hesitate to speak up against injustice, and will do what he can to stop injustices from happening. Unfortunately, this means contradicting his mentor, senior warriors, and even his leader.

[Before Birth]

    Ravenpaw and Eaglepaw were apprentices when they first met.


[Kithood]

    Ravenstorm gave birth to her kits on the journey to the new territories.


[Apprenticeship]

    At the end of summer, Wildstar made Hawkkit, Sparrowkit, and Starlingkit into apprentices. Even though the brothers grieved deeply for their sister's death, they were still thrilled to get their mentors. Hawkpaw stood filled with excitement and pride as he was given his new name, but was caught off-guard when his mentor was named: Marbleheart. Marbleheart...she's in an openly cross-Clan relationship...Hawkpaw didn't want a cat who treated the warrior code so carelessly to be his mentor: he wanted a noble, code-abiding warrior to teach him how to be an honorable SkyClanner. He was bitter to see that his unfailingly loyal uncle, Hollowclaw, was going to be Starlingpaw's mentor. Lucky, lucky Starlingpaw. Still, it was his best friend's mother, a she-cat who had helped to raise him in the nursery, and he wasn't going to disrespect her.

    Training began quickly. Marbleheart was willing to push the boundaries, almost the point of harshness, but with Hawkpaw

    When ShadowClan invaded, Kindlepaw raced through the trees to alert Hawkpaw, Leafpelt, and Ravenstorm and get their help. But, being terribly out-of-shape for long-distance and stamina running, Kindlepaw was exhausted when she found their patrol. Ravenstorm stayed behind to keep an eye on the nearly-blacked-out apprenticed while Leafpelt and Hawkpaw raced to defend their Clan. Other warriors soon came running, calling through the trees for Ravenstorm to join them, and Kindlepaw insisted she do so, and the black she-cat left the apprentice alone. Kindlepaw was stubborn and wanted to help her Clan and snuck back to the battle. There, Hawkpaw was fighting with the ferocity of a LionClanner, fighting side-by-side with his mentor, Leafpelt. But even in the heat of battle, Hawkpaw noticed his best friend was fighting in a battle she couldn't win, and rather than being defeated by the apprentice, the ShadowClan warrior she was fighting only got angrier, and began to be lost in the heat of battle. He pinned her to the ground and prepared to deliver what would be a killing bite, but Hawkpaw plunged to Kindlepaw's aid.

    Hawkpaw fought ferociously to defend his dear friend, pummeling the massive warrior who had her pinned and getting him to back off, hissing in fury. Hawkpaw took several blows, but because he was smaller and quicker, he delivered more blows back to the ShadowClanner until he finally managed to clamp his teeth down on the tom's muzzle. This caused enough agony to get the blaze of the battle gone from the ShadowClanner's mind, and the fury that had fueled him gave way to the pain, and he finally backed off to tend to the slashes across his pelt, licking his bleeding muzzle as he went. Hawkpaw's sides heaved, but he stood strongly, staring down his opponent as he ran away, and then turned to Kindlepaw. She thanked him quickly and around them, the battle ended, and they returned to camp, Kindlepaw leaning slightly on her friend's shoulder.

    The Clan assembled in camp, Peachbelly hurrying to deliver medical attention to the cats who needed it urgently, while slightly less injured cats carried cobwebs and moss to those who could wait. Hawkpaw and Kindlepaw settled off-center of the camp, Kindlepaw helping him to press cobwebs to the scratches on his spine after he had helped her to do the same.


[Warriorhood]

    After the battle against the invading ShadowClanners, Moosebelly wanted to step down from his duties as deputy, and there was a lot of murmuring about how Lunarstar and his mate, Cinderfall, had abandoned the Clan. But before Moosebelly stepped down, he halfheartedly announced that Petrelpaw, who had fought very bravely despite his small stature compared to some of the invaders, and Hawkpaw, who had defended Kindlepaw from a massive ShadowClan warrior lost in the heat of battle, were to be named warriors. He gave the name Petrelsmoke to Petrelpaw and, to Hawkpaw, the name Hawkstripe. He was astonished and immensely pleased, but little did he know the problems that would arise from this impromptu warrior ceremony. Kindlepaw slunk away, burning with envy, while his littermates looked on desperately confused and hurt that their brother had been singled out amongst them to become a warrior. But Hawkstripe was oblivious to it, and took his place proudly guarding the camp that night, with Petrelsmoke beside him.
